Launched in 2010, IFMA Facility Fusion was designed to merge the IFMA educational, networking and leadership training events previously held in March, April and May into a single, comprehensive conference and exposition.
Combining, or fusing, a high-level educational program and tradeshow with IFMA volunteer leader training and industry-specific IFMA council sessions, Facility Fusion is intended to meet a range of professional development needs for facility managers and active IFMA members.
Facility Fusion focuses exclusively on facility management. Its purpose is to provide facility professionals as well as IFMA chapter, council and community members with a toolbox of best practices—new ideas and methods for operating facilities, managing teams, supporting members and supporting unique business sectors.
Whereas IFMA's annual World Workplace Conference & Expo welcomes professionals from a variety of industries that support the built environment, Facility Fusion is FM-centric.
Related professions may find something of interest or value at Facility Fusion due to the quality of programming; however, the event was created to address specific areas of concern related to the management of facilities, facility programs, facility teams and facility careers.
First and foremost, it's hosted by IFMA. An event backed by the resource and representative for facility management will deliver well-researched, concrete information geared toward helping facility professionals work smarter and advance their careers.
Attendees from previous years have found the more intimate setting of Facility Fusion beneficial for networking. Attendance in the hundreds rather than thousands allowed for more face-time with speakers, exhibitors, colleagues and IFMA staff.
Session presenters are bringing the most current, cutting-edge information to the program; plus, none of these sessions have been delivered before. Programming is all-new and exclusive to Facility Fusion.
By focusing on real facility issues, the program ensures that you take away practical solutions that can be discussed or implemented in your organization immediately. From sustainable practices to better management techniques, you'll return to your office ready to recommend or start working on programs that will benefit the organization's bottom line.
It's an opportunity to "recharge your FM battery" among a supportive group of peers. Fellow attendees share your frustrations; they've experienced similar facility challenges. They're just as eager as you are to come away with a fresh outlook on FM and a new approach to old problems.
